Designer
I am now a Designer. Applying my creative and practical abilities in business needs, user experience (UX & UI), human-centred and systems-led thinking. I help clients increase productivity efficiently and create positive stakeholder outcomes. This contributes to organisations' long-term commitments and strategies, making experiences easier and products & services more accessible.
Designing with people in mind.
2023
Yes23 Campaign Volunteer
During the Australian referendum on Indigenous recognition via a 'Voice' to Parliament (an advisory body) I volunteered, in which I ultimately was asked to become a captain/leader and community organiser. I engaged heavily with both indigenous and non-indigenous voters and their communities to convey complex ideas and deliver answers as concise and digestible information.

Business
Improvement Specialist
While in my role as a Designer and then as a Business Improvement Specialist, I comprehensively analysed business processes. Notably, investigating the lifecycle of both the Design and Behavioural Insights stream's respective engagements. I employed extensive stakeholder engagement and design activities to identify opportunities and offer recommendations for improving the branch's business processes, value of reporting, project feedback loops and our service offer.
2020 - 2022
Social Impact
Co-Founder
'ClimACTic!' is an exciting project born from a community provocation from Australian Parents for Climate Action. Endeavouring to empower people around the idea of climate change and the urgent ways we need to address the climate crisis. As a
co-founder and lead on the project I explored various avenues and business strategies to launch and grow our product. Through employing design research this social impact initiative proved a valuable asset for the community.
2012 - 2019
Architectural Technician
I assisted the WG Architects team by providing 3D Modelling and architectural documentation, while also conducting general office and project administration tasks. My role evolved to include the coordination of projects with communication between clients, consultants and the WGA team. Moving into a position where I was responsible for managing junior staff in completing their tasks in a timely manner and to a high standard of accuracy.
September 2017
Internship
Experiencing this internship in the Commonwealth Parliament in Canberra within a senior Ministerial office; gave me an appreciation of policy and government operations and applying my skills within the high pressure, fast moving environment. This required adherence to protocols, management of sensitive information and integrity.
July 2019
University (QUT) Sponsorship
Offered to me and sponsored by QUT, I was a 2019 Young Professional attending the Asia Pacific Cities Summit in Brisbane. I organised group discussion, input and facilitated problem solving from many different career and policy backgrounds towards a group communiqué presented to the attending mayors and delegations.
June 2019
Stakeholder Presentation
I was selected by faculty and an industry partner to present my creative project proposal 'History to the Shore' to Economic Development Queensland (EDQ, State Government). Working within client specific brief and constraints, managing a team and processes to meet evolving needs and deadlines. Explaining theoretical, practical and industry reasoning to a panel of EDQ and working professionals as a real world potential venture.

Interests & Activities
"To live is to choose. But to choose well, you must know who you are and what you stand for, where you want to go and why you want to get there."
- Kofi Annan
Policy & International Affairs
I have always followed and maintained an interest in policy, this is why economics is so apt for me. Applying it to decisions and analysis in my work; through to my everyday environment. Furthermore, international development and relations is important to me, having the diverse and economic background to meaningfully contribute. My enduring ability of peacemaking and mediation compliments this.
Architecture
Architecture and planning is something that has made me think logically about choices and design. Creating something substantial that must tend to basic needs but still involve creative flare and pragmatic solutions. My career in architecture let me develop a wide, unique and in depth knowledge base, practically applied in almost all of my work so far.
Sciences & Humanities
By knowing and understanding a vast array of sciences and humanity, knowledge and information, decisions and facilitation has always been a strong and enjoyable experience. The value of understanding 'how things work' has an been asset in evaluating positions and problems, especially with reasoning and strategy input. Within the sciences I have an inspiring interest in astrophysics and space (because who doesn't want to go to the Moon?).
Research & Reading
By studying a wide range of sources and topics, this quenches my thirst for knowledge and given me unusual and unique insight into many areas. From reports and academic papers to culture and data. Uncovering human stories behind the pages has maintained my empathy and helped me connect with subjects more intuitively.
But... sometimes I keep up with the Kardashians.
Equality and the Future
The future seems like a big concept to be keenly focused on. However, throughout my life, work in economics & design and my connection to people, it is a natural mindset for me.

My shared ambition for equality informs much of my work and life given it has impacted me personally along the way. Weaving together solutions alongside organisations, communities and individuals to combat racism, achieve gender equality and protect LGBTQIA+ people. Endeavouring to create better future for us all.
Food
Everyone loves food. But I have a keen appetite and interest in creating and cooking food at home. I enjoy preparing delicious banquets for guests, friends and family of cuisines they may not usually have.
If you're lucky you may find yourself at a Mediterranean lunch, a Chicken Wing feast, or the usual favourite... Oriental night (chicken feet are my favourite dish on that night.; for other guests, not so much).

Languages
Languages are very important to me. By investing a small amount of time learning even basics of an Indigenous language or being conversational in some of the most spoken. It gives me another way to connect and engage with people, to understand them more intuitively. It is special to see a stranger appreciate even a single word spoken in their language.

I endeavour to keep my languages current and available, and I'm always hoping to learn more.
Travel
While I do not see my travel as a skill or interest, I have been lucky enough to visit 35 countries throughout the world. This has given me great insight into other cultures and reference when addressing things in various international contexts. It has been an invaluable experience, engaging and learning about people outside of home.
